On the Walls of the Laughing Buddha.
In 2007, the Art Gallery of Sudbury, along with the Laughing Buddha, announced a joint partnership in which the Laughing Buddha became an off-site venue for the Art Gallery of Sudbury. This rich cultural relationship continues to grow today and allows local artists, both professional and emerging, the opportunity to showcase their works on the restaurant walls.
The AGS works with Laughing Buddha management to select and install works of local artists for two month-long exhibitions.
Interested applicants are required to submit a proposal as outlined below. For further information contact Krysta Telenko, Curator, via e-mail at ktelenko@artsudbury.org or by phone at 675-4871 x. 231.
Submission Policies
Your submission package MUST contain the following information:
1. Artist’s contact information: name, mailing address, telephone number and e-mail
2. Artist’s biography and an artist’s statement (tell us about yourself: what inspires you? What is your work about?)
3. high-quality photographic prints of your work, digital prints (4x6 in size), or digital images on a CD or DVD
4. A support materials list alongside the visuals: name of artist, title of work, medium and dimensions of original work)
5. If you use new media works, include a videotape or DVD
6. Do not include original artwork—only images of originals--in the submission
