For the fourth time this year, the Art Gallery of Sudbury celebrates artists from Northern Ontario. Mary Green from Sudbury, and Judith Ingwersen from North Bay, join together to showcase their work entitled Shifting Transversions. Both women share a common history as women, as teachers, and as artists.

Approaching their journeys through the country and through life, both artists interpret their own unique experiences with their individual voice. The works range from silent contemplation on Baffin Island to stormy skies at Peggy’s Cove. The work ranges from large painted canvases to video installation.

Shifting Transversions originates from the WKP Kennedy Gallery, North Bay, where it opened in September 2005. It was exhibited in Timmins in November 2005 and will continue on to the Art Gallery of Northumberland, Cobourg, January 2007 and Art Gallery of Algoma, Sault Ste. Marie.
