Autoshow

North Bay artists, David Carlin, Lori Grace Johnson, Dermot Wilson

These three artists from North Bay explore the postmodern irony that the automobile "culture" has evolved into. The will to go faster and the aesthetics of speed have become symbolic of power and all its accoutrements. Yet the accidental implications of technology gone awry are made manifest daily. Autoshow re-examines and re-interprets the car as a symbol of progress at a time when progress seems impossible and accidents inevitable.

Opening reception: Saturday, September 20th
